Standard braided corrugated metal hose, also known as flexible metal hose, consists of three major components: a corrugated inner core hose, a outer braid cover, and a braid sleeve (ferrule). These components are put together and are welded at each end of the length by using a cap weld process known as the seal pass. End fittings are then selected and welded to the seal pass ends in order to complete the final hose assembly.

Corrugated metal hose and braid is available in 304, 321, 316L stainless steel grades, Bronze, Monel and Hastelloy. Special metals are also available upon request.


Corrugated metal hose allows the transfer of liquids and gases, usually at high pressures and high temperatures, while remaining flexible.
